We said our farewells to the North Carolina Prices and headed to the Blue Ridge Parkway. As we were driving through Greensboro, North Carolina we spotted a sign that said Price Park. Of course, we had to check that out.
The park was named after Julian and Ethel Price. No relation we know about, yet.
It had a little lake and geese squawking about.
And a beautiful little trail through the woods.
It took a while to get to the Blue Ridge Parkway. However, it didn't disappoint. The dogwood trees were in bloom and it was so peaceful on the this Parkway.
And the views were simply beautiful.
And went on almost forever!!
It was a little hazy but impressive nonetheless.
Donna told us about Peaks of Otter. And, boy, I am glad she did. It was absolutely beautiful there.
Abbott Lake was just below the peak, and it was so quiet and calm and peaceful there.
Don't you wish you were there!!
I just love the dogwood trees.
There was a great asphalt path that we could stroll along and take in the beauty.
The scenery was just breathtaking.
On our way out of the Blue Ridge Parkway we wanted to go see Natural Bridge. It sounded so cool, but it was this HUGE tourist trap with crazy things like this dino cowboy and it cost $19 dollars a head to go and see the Natural Bridge. We said, no thanks and politely drove off disappointed.
Tomorrow...Shenandoah National Park!!
